The following data on illegitimate birth rates comes from wikipedia.org “Legitimacy (family law)”. They are all from surveys done in 2016 except for Belgium (2015), United Kingdom (2017), Greece (2017), Croatia (2017), Cyprus (2017).

What do the above numbers tell me? They impress on me the gigantic distance that the western (Christian) world has gotten from Christianity. I don’t know a better measure of the distance that the West has gotten from Christianity. Christianity is all about practice. It is about beliefs, outlooks, attitudes, and values and the practice of them. Chastity, moral purity, honesty, integrity, goodness, and virtue are central to Christianity. You can’t separate them away from Christianity. Christianity is very clear about immoral behavior — fornication, sexual promiscuity, adultery, homosexuality, etc. It is just not allowed. God will not accept it. Those who engage in it will go to hell. It is very serious sin.

1 Cor 6:9-10 Do you not know that the unrighteous will not

inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither

fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals,

nor sodomites, {10} nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards,

nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.

It is obvious from the above numbers that Westerners really love their illicit sex and don’t take Christian moral standards at all seriously. Illicit sex is just so much fun, so powerfully tempting! Well, it is Satan’s road. You can’t go Satan’s way and God’s way. It is just not possible. To engage in illicit sex and believe you are a Christian is simple self-deception.

It is not just Christianity that forbids illicit sex. Probably every major religion in the world forbids it. Why do you suppose that is? The West is greatly self-deceived. It is obvious to me that the people of the West lack in the character and understanding that many people in Eastern cultures still have.

In the highly depraved West there seems to be the attitude that chastity, sexual abstinence, is just a totally unrealistic, impractical thing to expect from anyone. Well, it is interesting to note that there are some countries in this world where large portions of the unmarried singles are still virgins and still believe in the importance of chastity. I think of the Islamic countries, Japan, and China. See the following:

All of this speaks of the great godlessness, boldness, and shamelessness of the West. The West just outdoes itself in shamelessness. Just its attitude on homosexuality shows the depth of its shamelessness. Is it any surprise that a culture so totally depraved as the West would seem to have as its highest object forcing its population to accept as morally acceptable a practice so immoral, depraved, and degenerate as homosexuality? For the last 50 years the West has been on a gigantic crusade attempting to pressure its populations to accept homosexuality. I don’t think there is any objective that the West has pushed as hard as that. If you don’t accept it you are labeled as a hater. The idea is to socially ostracize, blackball, shame anyone who won’t comply. It is an attempt at coercion. Regrettably the tactics do work. People follow along. They allow themselves to be bullied and forced. They just follow the pragmatic course of least resistance.

The culprit in all of this is modern liberalism. Modern liberalism has been challenging Biblical outlooks and attitudes for years and it has just kept pulling people further and further from the Bible and its values. (And one of the big culprits aligned with modern liberalism is modern psychiatry.)

In America we had that great sexual revolution that started with the Hippie movement in the 1960's with all of its commune living, drugs and free sex. About the same time the homosexuals started “coming out of the closet” demanding acceptance. It has been all one way since then. A long progression, all away from the Bible and its outlooks and values. America is now, in reality, a post-Christian country. There is certainly a gigantic distance between the outlooks and values with which I was raised and the outlooks and values of the modern Western World. It is like the difference between Black and White.

More than this, because of the great worldwide influence of Great Britain and the United States [through Great Britain’s strong intellectual influence on its many former colonies (like the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, etc.), the wide influence of the English language (due to its use as a global language), the use of the dollar as the world’s reserve currency, and the great worldwide influence of American entertainment (Hollywood, Disney, etc.)] the highly spiritually and intellectually depraved outlook/attitudes/value system of the West — in the form of modern liberalism with all of its sexual permissiveness and sick homosexual/ transgender beliefs — has been spread to every corner of the globe. It is corrupting the entire planet. It is like a horrid cancer that is metastasizing throughout the earth. It does remind me of what the Bible says about the end times.

The West is self-deceived. As a society gets away from spiritual truth there are consequences. What kind of consequences? A society without morality goes down. Morality (or lack of it) affects everything in a society. Down in Guatemala and Honduras young girls start popping out babies at the age of about 13 or 14 and continue doing it perhaps once a year for eight or ten years. (They don’t get married, of course, and the children mostly don’t know who their fathers are and the fathers don’t acknowledge their children). Then when all those children who have been raised without fathers or moral instruction get up to about 12 years old they start joining gangs like MS-13 and terrorizing the population by charging people “tax” for “protection” (i.e. extortion), or selling drugs, prostitution, stealing, killing, etc. (Does this sound anything like the phenomenon that occurs in the Black ghettoes of America with all of the crime and killings there?) Murder, killing is an everyday phenomenon affecting everyone. The police are ineffective, often with ties to the gangs. Ninety seven percent of murders go unsolved. Deep poverty is everywhere. Earning any kind of living is very hard. Just getting enough to eat is a problem. The school system is a sham. Violence against women is a national problem (the men are only interested in sex and are abusive toward their women).

Social diseases can be like diseases of the body. Once you get them they may be very difficult to cure.

Just envision a society in which there is no integrity, no honesty, no morality, no decency, no goodness, no virtue. I think there are many places in the world where social conditions have degenerated so far as to approach that condition. A woman can’t find a decent, good man for a life partner. They just don’t exist. All of the men are only interested in sex and are overbearing, domineering, and abusive. A man can’t find a decent, good woman for a life partner. No woman can be trusted. An honest, decent woman just doesn’t exist.

The moral breakdown of the West as revealed in the above numbers on illegitimacy will have consequences. The West has abandoned God. There will be consequences.
