Aristotle To paraphrase then: we are our habits (our habits define us) and excellence of character is a matter of habits (it is having good habits and not having bad ones). Isn't this true? What are the good habits that make for good character? (How about honesty, justness, perseverance, diligence to name a few). What are the bad habits that make for bad character? (How about the opposites of the above --- dishonesty, unjustness, lack of perseverance, laziness, etc). Isn't our attitude and approach to life, our basic mind-set, just a matter of habit?
