Teenage freedom and its consequences
The outlooks, attitudes, habits, conduct, and behavior of youth crystalize, solidify to form the character of the adult. Social customs have social consequences. Consider the custom of teenage dating. Anyone with sense knows what kind of behavior this practice will lead to. The American custom of allowing young teenagers all kinds of freedom has perfectly predictable consequences: teenage promiscuity. The mind of man: pleasure now outweighs the fear of an ugly punishment in the afterlife; pleasure now trumps the threat of punishment of eternal fire and torment in the life that succeeds this one. You will worry about the consequences of your actions later. The moral depravity of America has its roots in the freedom given to its youth. Youthful promiscuity leads to adult promiscuity. The freedom given to its youth has its roots in the amoral attitudes of its adults. Only an amoral adult would allow his children this kind of freedom.
Mark 7:21-23 For from within, out of the heart of men,
proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, {22}
Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an
evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness: {23} All these evil
things come from within, and defile the man. Words of Jesus
1 Cor 6:9-10 Do you not know that the unrighteous will not
inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither
fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals,
nor sodomites, {10} nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards,
nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.
Gal 5:19-21 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which
are these: Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
{20} Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath,
strife, seditions, heresies, {21} Envyings, murders,
drunkenness, revellings, and such like; of the which I tell you
before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which
do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
Mat 7:13-14 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the
gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and
many there be which go in thereat: {14} Because strait is the
gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few
there be that find it. Words of Jesus
Mat 13:47-50 “Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a dragnet
that was cast into the sea and gathered some of every kind,
which, when it was full, they drew to shore; and they sat down
and gathered the good into vessels, but threw the bad away. So
it will be at the end of the age. The angels will come forth,
separate the wicked from among the just, and cast them into
the furnace of fire. There will be wailing and gnashing of
teeth.” Words of Jesus
