Adjectives describing a true Christian
A true Christian is a certain kind of person. True Christianity is about obedience to God, obedience to the teachings of Jesus Christ. Obedience to Biblical teaching implies certain traits of character. A person can become what he really wants to be. If he really wants to be a good person he can. Character follows mind. The mind leads (with thought and reflection) and with effort, character follows. The following is a list of words that should describe the Christian:
● Godly. Devoutly religious; pious. Syn. God-fearing, devout
● Righteous. Conforming in disposition and conduct to a standard of right and justice. Syn. good, virtuous, upright, upstanding, decent; ethical, principled, moral, high-minded, law-abiding, honest, honorable, blameless, irreproachable, noble
● Upright. Strictly honorable or honest. Syn. honest, honorable, upstanding, respectable, high-minded, law-abiding, right-minded, worthy, moral, ethical, righteous, decent, scrupulous, conscientious, good, virtuous, principled, noble, incorruptible
● Moral. Concerned with the principles of right and wrong behavior and the goodness or badness of human character. Syn. virtuous, good, righteous, upright, upstanding, high-minded, principled, honorable, honest, just, noble, incorruptible, scrupulous, respectable, decent, clean-living, law-abiding
● Kind. Having or showing a friendly, generous, and considerate nature. Syn. good-natured, kindhearted, warmhearted, caring, affectionate, loving, warm; considerate, helpful, thoughtful, obliging, unselfish, selfless, good, attentive; compassionate, sympathetic, understanding, benevolent, benign, friendly, neighborly, hospitable, well meaning.
● Forgiving. Ready and willing to forgive. Syn. merciful, lenient, compassionate, pitying, magnanimous, humane, clement, mild, softhearted, forbearing, tolerant, understanding, placable
● Chaste. Pure in character or conduct; free from all taint of what is lewd or salacious. Syn. pure, modest, decent
● Humble. Having or showing a modest estimate of one's own importance. Syn modest, unassuming, unpretentious, unaffected, natural
● Patient. Able to accept or tolerate delays, problems, or suffering without becoming annoyed or anxious. Syn. forbearing, uncomplaining, tolerant, long-suffering, resigned, stoical, calm, composed, serene, even-tempered, tranquil, imperturbable, unexcitable, accommodating, understanding
● Peaceful. Averse to strife. Syn. amicable, friendly, cordial, nonviolent
