The book of Psalms gives a glimpse into the heart of the godly man, the man who loves God and serves him. He is the man whose mind is always near God, the man who is always conscious of God. This consciousness of God, love of him, allegiance to him, regulates and controls all that he is; it shapes and defines him --- his attitudes, outlooks and feelings. He is a person with an integrated personality with love of God being the force that integrates. He is not a person who is religious just on Sundays; he is religious every moment of every day. Piety and love of God permeate his entire life. They make him what he is. All that he does is done under the restraints of God-consciousness. His speech, actions, conduct are all constrained within boundaries created by his allegiance. He is a person with God in his heart. His motivations and desires reflect a Godly, righteous, good heart.
