True Christianity. What is it? What characterizes it? It is a way of faith in God, love of God, the shunning of sin and badness, the pursuit of Goodness and Virtue. It is a set of outlooks, values and attitudes --- a set of likes and a set of biases. It is a way of life based on the teachings of Jesus, as found in the gospels and epistles of the New Testament. Closely related to it is the quest for Truth and Spiritual Understanding. True Christianity is far more about values, outlooks and practice than it is about theological doctrine and dogma. An emphasis on dogma and doctrine leads to people who are spiritually empty, vacuous; people who are unthinking automatons. True Christianity emphasizes Spiritual Knowledge, Wisdom, Understanding. True Christianity is warm and alive; doctrinaire Christianity is cold and dead. Mar 1995
