Facts of life that transcend cultures and countries

I just saw the following video of a lady in China:

Life in China | My Real Thoughts on Marriage at 39

I was struck by the lady’s story. Some time ago I saw a similar video of a lady in Japan. A woman marries a man who is impossible to live with and gets a divorce. Then she has a very difficult time finding and keeping jobs and finds life very discouraging and difficult. The story puts in high relief some of the harsh truths of life that obtain in every society and culture. No matter what country or culture one lives in, reality can be very ugly and life can be hard. I am a believer in God and I believe God has watched out over me in life. I believe he will do the same for others who seek him. I strongly recommend reading the Bible and becoming a Christian. There is nothing like faith as a support in a hard world.

Part of the secret to having a good life is thinking for yourself and not just following the crowd. Seek wisdom and live prudently. Stay away from alcohol and drugs. Be careful about who you associate with. Obey God’s teachings. Be very careful about who you marry. Bad mates can make life a hell. If you do have a job be wise, be prudent, live frugally, and save money.
