The lies of modern liberalism
For the last 50 or 60 years I have been reacting to the ideas of modern liberalism. The liberals have been asserting things as true which I instinctively, intuitively, knew to be falsehoods and asserting things I instinctively knew to be true as being false. They have, on many topics, inverted truth and stood it on its head. And they have deceived a large portion of society by the device of constant repetition. The unthinking masses will believe anything they are told if it is repeated enough times, it sounds good, and they would like to believe it. Where has all of this liberal foolishness come from? What is the source? The source is the elite colleges of the United States (i.e. the ivy league colleges, Harvard, etc.) and the elite colleges of Great Britain and the other countries of western Europe. And, at bottom, it all comes down to people — intellectuals — egg-headed professors, who think they can make something true by simply asserting it. It doesn’t need to be backed by observation or proof or common sense or reason. It can just be asserted as true. So, let us give some examples.
1. In Multiculturalism they have declared diversity to be good in a society. The more cultures present, the more diverse ideas represented, the better. Diversity gives strength. But common sense says the opposite. Common sense says the more uniformity in a society, the better. Diversity brings disagreement and conflict. A lot of opposing outlooks and opinions brings social strife, anger, hatred, and problems. It brings political stalemate. See What is the best political system?
2. They have told us that the best way to deal with crime and criminals is through re-education instead of harsh punishment. They have ignored the wisdom of past centuries and many cultures (Western and Eastern) which have considered that the best deterrent of crime is harsh punishment (such as public whipping, hanging, crucifying, etc.)
3. They have told us that Communism and Socialism are superior to Capitalism and the free market system where common sense and experience have shown that this is not true.
4. They have declared that homosexual practices are fine and should be accepted while the Bible condemns them. See On homosexuality in different cultures.
5. They have asserted that the problems of blacks in the United States are the fault of the white man instead of their own wrong outlooks, attitudes, and values (i.e. black culture).
Modern liberalism is based on lies — lots and lots of lies. Lies. False narratives. Intellectual foolishness. And it is just amazing how many people believe those lies.
There is a philosophical outlook underlying modern liberalism and it is atheistic. It is secular humanism. It has origins in the socialist thinkers of the late 1700's and 1800's.
