Ideas so dumb that only an intellectual would believe them
Last night I watched the YouTube video

It is about how crime ridden Vancouver, Canada has become. Even the best, most well-to-do areas of the city have become very dangerous — with very high incidences of assaults and robbery due to all of the drug addicts and alcoholics living on the streets. All the crime is closely linked to drug addiction. (Drug addicts need money to buy their drugs and their need for fixes is so intense that they will do absolutely anything to get that money including assault) The city’s response has been to implement various new, liberal ideas. They have defunded the police, changed away from traditional policing philosophy and methods to soft methods (like befriending the addicts), releasing those apprehended back to the streets instead of prosecuting, and programs providing addicts with free drugs and needles. Well, the new methods aren’t working. The problem just keeps getting worse and worse with each passing year. And the city stubbornly continues with its progressive approaches and ways in spite of criticism. The video contains a lot of interviews and discussions with various people about the problem. I was struck by one person’s comment. I don’t recall the exact words but the essence was, “Their response is based on ideas so dumb that only an intellectual would believe them.” I thought, “Well! How well said! And how well that explains so much in our modern society!” I do believe that our universities are the source of most of what is messed up and wrong in this country. Our top ivy league colleges are probably behind the most of it. All of the rich peoples’ kids that graduate from our most prestigious colleges, indoctrinated into the most absurd foolishness, are the ones holding most of the positions of power and influence in our land. And behind the most of it are the ideas of Marxism/socialism and modern psychiatry. See
I have said many times that America is sick. Not only morally and spiritually sick, but intellectually sick. If, when I was a boy, I had been told that the future in my country would hold these kinds of things I would never have believed it. I would not have believed that people would be so stupid as to allow these kinds of things.
Gross promiscuity. Sexual immorality everywhere. Everyone cohabiting instead of marrying. Hoards of illegitimate children. Children growing up without fathers, without upbringing, without God, without instruction. What kind of fruit would you expect this to bring?
We have sowed to the wind and we are reaping the whirlwind.
There is no substitute for the outlook and personal intellectual foundation provided by the Bible. It is no wonder that our society is so messed up. It is no wonder there are so many rudderless, confused, messed up people in our society. It is no wonder we are having so many incidences of mass shootings. An angry man goes into a school with an AR-15 and shoots 20 children and the teacher. What has gone wrong? Our society has rejected the Bible. Interest in the Bible has been replaced by interest in Pagan Witchcraft (Wicca), Satan worship, eastern religions, and the occult. At bottom, that is what is behind most of our problems. I have never touched alcohol or drugs. Why not? It is my Biblical foundation. My faith has been my strength and shield against foolishness and Evil.
What is occurring in Vancouver in also occurring in many cities of America. For example, Seattle. In Seattle you have the same problem and the same inane, stupid ways of dealing with it. See the following excellent video:

Here again law and order is totally gone. Criminals who are apprehended are just returned to the streets. The situation is just a disaster and the police force is demoralized because they are restrained from doing anything. They dare not speak up for fear of losing their jobs. Who is responsible for this foolishness? Liberals with their liberal ideas.
You have the same problem in Los Angles, San Francisco, Portland, Philadelphia, and many other cities.
