Discrimination
Birds of a feather flock together. In the animal world many creatures are social in nature and move about in flocks, herds, packs, schools, etc. Each moves in social groups of his own kind. This is true for birds, sheep, cattle, goats, deer, dogs, fish, etc. Can you imagine a poor, lonely, confused duck attempting to join a flock of crows and being accepted into their company? Or a lonely deer trying to join a herd of sheep?
Human society also breaks down into social groups. With humans birds of a feather also flock together. Here again like attracts like and opposites repel. People just naturally associate with others of their own kind, of their own kind of mind; with people of their own outlooks, attitudes, and values. Honest people are attracted to honest people. Dishonest people are attracted to dishonest people. Wise men are attracted to wise men. Fools are attracted to fools. Moral people are attracted to moral people. Immoral people are attracted to immoral people. Thieves are attracted to thieves. People of a particular religion are attracted to others of the same religion. Marxists are attracted to Marxists. Liberals are attracted to liberals. Conservatives are attracted to conservatives. Etc. Everyone is attracted to his own kind. This is why one of the best ways to know what kind of person someone is is by observing who his friends are, what kind of people he associates with.
Discrimination. The above is all about discrimination, isn’t it?
