I am diplomatic in person but say what I think on my website
In conversation with other people I am always very careful what I say. I am always very careful not to say anything that I think might upset them, offend them. Say something they might not like to hear. I am very tactful, very diplomatic. I am a peaceful person. I don’t want argument. I don’t like argument. This is true when I am talking to my wife. It is true when I am talking to a stranger. I know you can’t criticize a person without upsetting him so I never criticize. Not my wife and not anyone else. I keep my mouth shut about things I know they won’t like to hear. Telling someone the truth when that truth is criticism never accomplishes anything positive. If I am talking to a stranger I am very careful about the topics I talk about. I don’t talk about religion or politics. I know these are topics about which many people have very strong opinions and prudence keeps me from talking about the topics. (The exception is when I know a person well enough to know his opinions and know he will agree with me.) I am careful to restrict myself to topics that I know are safe to talk about. I think what I am saying is the difference between a peaceful person and an argumentative type of person. An argumentative person is always saying things that upset people. He is always stepping on toes, telling people they are wrong, disagreeing with them. He may be intentionally bold or rude. He is a fighter, a warrior, and he can be very nasty, vicious, and ugly. He is the kind of person that can make his home into a hell hole. Being argumentative is a habit. And a very bad habit. A wise man understands the importance of living peacefully and avoiding argument.
Now after having said all this, I observe that on my website I say a whole lot of things that would certainly make a whole lot of people very upset and angry. On my website I say exactly what I think. I speak the truth exactly as I see it. On my website I am not restraining myself for fear of hurting other people’s feelings. I know it is going to upset people and make them angry. How do you explain this inconsistency? Well, it is a matter of principle. It is important that the truth be said. Especially in a society where everything is lie and the truth is never spoken. And especially when the truth is the secret to a happy and healthy life. I may not wish to tell people the real truth to their face but they do need to hear it. The Bible teaches the importance of kindness and peacefulness but it is not so concerned about upsetting people that it does not speak the full truth. It warns about immoral, wicked behavior and the very ugly consequence in the way of a hell of eternal fire and torment. God came down to earth in the form of Jesus and told people the truth that they didn’t want to hear and they crucified him for it.
We live in a world ruled by Satan. Falsehood and lie are everywhere. Satan has control of all of the megaphones in modern western society. Truth is never heard. I feel a very strong need for telling it.
