US Supreme Court decision: homosexuals have a constitutional right to marry.
By a five to four vote the US Supreme Court just decided today (June 26, 2015) that homosexuals have a constitutional right to marry in America. After the announcement the White House was illuminated in the colors of the gay and lesbian rainbow coalition (red, yellow, green and blue) in celebration.
This is certainly a historic moment. It is a milestone in the history of America. And just what is its meaning? I think it represents the beginning of a whole new era for America. It legitimizes that great sin of sins of the Bible, that sin for which God rained fire and brimstone on Sodom and Gomorrah. It says homosexuality is OK, that there is nothing wrong with it. I think it is going to have big ramifications for Christians in America. The USA has taken a clear stand against the Bible, against the God of the Bible. It has taken a clear stand against God. I think the days of Christian persecution in America are about to start.
One of the dissenting justices, Justice Scalia, said in sarcasm, “These justices know that limiting marriage to one man and one woman is contrary to reason; they know that an institution as old as government itself, and accepted by every nation in history until 15 years ago, cannot possibly be supported by anything other than ignorance or bigotry.” Another dissenting justice, Justice Roberts, said the majority opinion was “an act of will, not legal judgment.” ... “The court invalidates the marriage laws of more than half the states and orders the transformation of a social institution that has formed the basis of human society for millennia, for the Kalahari Bushmen and the Han Chinese, the Carthaginians and the Aztecs,” .... “Just who do we think we are?”
This is a decision that should have been made by the people of America through democratic vote, not by the Supreme Court. It is a political decision, a decision representing the political leanings (i.e. left versus right) of the Supreme Court. It constitutes an act by the Radical Left to force its values and outlooks on America — force them down the throat of the American people.
Let us note that right and wrong cannot be decided by human vote. If the US Supreme Court took a vote and decided that every person had a constitutional right to murder, that wouldn’t make the act of murder right. It would just make murder legal.
So what is the real significance of this decision? Its significance is that it shows the depth and breadth of the great depravity and wickedness that is America. It was certain to happen sooner or later. As America becomes more and more depraved and wicked with passing time, it was certain to happen. Over the last several years homosexual marriage has been legalized in most of the countries of Europe. It has now been legalized in the USA. America has followed Europe into the depths of Western depravity. Not only Christianity, but Islam and probably every other major world religion, regards homosexuality as high wickedness. But the West is advanced and “enlightened” and knows better.
This Supreme Court decision is an act of obscenity against Jehovah God, God of Gods, Lord of the Universe and of the values of Goodness, Virtue, and Morality that he stands for. It is a decision coming out of the Radical Left in their ongoing effort to subject America to their atheistic, anti-God, pro-homosexual rule. Behind it is the hatred of the Radical Left for Christianity, for its outlooks and values, and their determination to destroy it.
In addition to this ruling on gay marriage, our anti-discrimination laws have been modified to include discrimination with respect to sexual orientation, making discrimination against gays illegal here in the USA.
Christian photographers have been sued for refusing to take pictures at gay weddings. Christian bakers have been sued for refusing to bake cakes for gay weddings.
The practical effect of the anti-discrimination law is to have armed the gay and lesbian community with the means for placing a Christian in the following position: a position in which he is given a choice of the following two options:
1) Betray his faith, betray his God; betray all he is, all he believes in, all he has based his life on (i.e. sell his soul to Satan)
2) Pay some terrible price (e.g.. pay an outrageous fine, go to jail, quit his job, give up his business, etc.) as determined by some leftist radical pro-homosexual, Christian-hating judge.
A baker and his wife (Aaron and Melissa Klein) in Oregon have been fined $135,000 for refusing to bake a wedding cake for a lesbian couple. In addition to this they have been placed under an order to “decease and desist” from speaking with the public about their case. What an obscenity! What a travesty of justice! I feel for them. These are two young, very decent, good people. This is the new America! The Wicked are in power! They are stomping the Upright and Good into the ground!
For me, to see fellow Christians treated in this way is gut-wrenching. There are a few good people left in this country — the Christians (the true Christians), mostly down in the Bible belt of the South. I really feel for them. May God help them.
What can one do? This is what my country is now doing. This is the persecution that Jesus warned his followers of. It makes me feel like leaving the country. This is no longer the kind of country I want to live in.
The right to discriminate is an inherent natural right of all men! America, a land of freedom?! This is no longer a land of freedom! The Left is not at all tolerant with those who oppose them!
