Q. How do you tell what a person really is down deep, what he really is? A. The best way is to note who he associates with, who his friends are. Watch him. Note who he seems to be most comfortable around, who he seems to be most at ease with, who is able to "tickle his funny bone" and make him laugh, who he is drawn toward. If he seems to gravitate toward people with coarse or obscene minds, note it. If he gravitates towards people with dishonest, tricky minds, note it. If he gravitates toward impertinent, bold types, note it. Remember that the good, honest, decent person will be repelled by the dishonest person, the indecent person, and the impertinent person. He is just naturally turned off by dishonesty, indecency and impertinence and is not at ease or comfortable around these things. When they are present he disappears --- just from natural inclinations and impulses. He is drawn to people who are refined, decent and honest. Those are the people he is comfortable around.
