The secret to mental health lies in the pursuit of Goodness. But to pursue it you must believe in it. You must be thoroughly convinced that it truly does dominate over evil --- that it is really worth pursuing. You cannot pursue it if you are convinced, as many people are, that "Bad men always win and good men always lose in this world". You must be convinced that "Good men always win and bad men always lose", that Goodness always wins in the end, that Evil always destroys itself in the end. Only then can you really love Goodness and Virtue in the way that is necessary. The secret to mental health lies in loving God and the principles of Goodness and Virtue that he represents, in believing in his principles, in living a life of principle.
