Appearance or Substance?
There are two opposing philosophies that serve as starting
points for two roads people take in life:
PHILOSOPHY 1. "It is not what you are but what you appear
to be that is important."
PHILOSOPHY 2. "It is not what you appear to be but what you
are that is important."
Philosophy 1 leads into a personality of deceit, sham and
superficiality.
Philosophy 2 leads into a personality of honesty, sincerity and
substance.
These two philosophies constitute the basis for two basic
orientations for people: 1. The orientation towards
appearance, and 2. The orientation towards substance.
