Is there a widespread bias against Blacks in America?
Is there a widespread bias against Blacks in America? Are Blacks a poor, downtrodden group? Are they unfairly discriminated against? Blacks may suffer discrimination because of negative perceptions of them as a group but I think there is a reason for those negative perceptions just as there is a reason why gypsies may be perceived negatively. Bad perceptions are usually earned. And I think this idea accounts for one of the main differences between liberals and conservatives. The liberals view the Blacks as a poor, downtrodden group with the white man as his oppressor and the conservatives don’t. The conservatives think the Black man is responsible for his problems. I am reminded of a quote by Ronald Reagan
It isn't so much that [the experts] are ignorant. It's just that
they know so many things that aren't so. . .
Well, I think there is just an enormous amount of truth in that statement. All of our experts and elite types know so much and it all gets repeated over and over by all of our mass media, it becomes a tacit assumption of the most of our society, and the problem is that it just isn’t so.
What is really behind all of these “Black Lives Matter” demonstrations, protests, riots and destruction of property of the last several months? I believe it is this idea that he is discriminated against that has been put into the mind of Blacks by liberals. The liberals have poisoned the mind of Blacks against Whites in this country. They have created racial hatred against the white man. So the evil doer in all this is really the liberal. Instead of looking at each individual person and judging him by Christian moral standards such how honest, moral, virtuous, hardworking, responsible, and good he is they judge him on whether he is guilty of racial bias. Then they say all the Whites are guilty of it so they are all bad.
We all carry with us a thousand assumptions. One single wrong assumption can affect our entire way of thinking. And in this case, a single wrong assumption initiated by a few overeducated eggheads can give rise to general social havoc.
