We live in a godless, post-Christian America

We live in a godless, post-Christian America. America is no longer a Christian country. A great many Americans regard themselves as Christians, view America as a Christian country, and would be shocked by my statement. But I assert that it is true. In actual fact, America has rejected Christianity, abandoned Christianity. Many Americans just don’t yet quite understand what has happened. America is in fact a highly wicked, highly depraved Sodom. It has been rejecting the main values, outlooks, attitudes, and beliefs of Christianity for a long time now, has been progressing further and further down paths of high wickedness, and is now far from the real Christianity. And it has not just abandoned Christianity. It has abandoned God. The signs are everywhere for anyone who has the understanding to see it. You see it in all the rough, vulgar, obscene language that has become so much the norm in our society. You see it in all the tattoos that suddenly, in the last few years, everyone seems to be sporting (especially the younger generations). You see it in the way many jurisdictions are moving to legalize marijuana. It is in the air. You can feel it. America has morally, spiritually lost its way. The people of America have believed all of those falsehoods, moral lie, with which they have been bombarded, from all directions, for the last seventy five years, and are now void of moral foundation. America no longer knows right from wrong.

Back at the time of the Clinton-Lewinski sex scandal two different people that I know, men who regarded themselves as Christians, told me, “That kind of thing isn’t important.” I am now convinced, from attitudes that I hear voiced, that 95% of the people in America, men and women, Democrat and Republican, have that same opinion: “That kind of thing isn’t important. Sexual morality isn’t important. A person’s sexual conduct is no one’s business.” Well, from the point of view of the Christianity that you find in the New Testament, that kind of thing is very, very important. Anyone who has read the Bible seriously and honestly cannot help but know that. Sexual immorality is viewed by Christianity as sin of the very highest order. Consider the words of St. Paul:

Eph 5:3-12 But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints; {4} Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks. {5} For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.

They say that if you put a frog in hot water he will jump out but if you put him in warm water and then gradually increase the temperature you can boil him without him knowing what has happened to him. That is what has happened to America. America has followed in the ways of Satan, rejected the ways of Christianity and gradually, a little bit at a time, has now become a highly depraved Sodom but doesn’t know what has happened to it. It still calls itself Christian, thinks it is Christian, but it is all self-deception. It is, in fact, galaxies away from true Christianity. It has followed Satan with ever increasing shamelessness and is now a full time disciple.

Over 40% of births in America are illegitimate. I am sure that if a person really believed that fornicators would spend an eternity in a ghastly hell in the next life he would not engage in fornication. Just that statistic is proof of how lightly the populace takes the Bible.

There are many people in America who do hate Christianity with a vengeance and have been working hard against it, waging war against it, for years. I am sure they are reveling in their success in destroying Christianity. But they have had some very important help. The big enemy of Christianity is Satan. He hates it with a passion. But he does his work through people, those in his employment. And, in the end, he collects what is due him.
